"I was just learning how to hand build ceramics for myself. This was the first water tight vessel id been able to manage and I mixed the glaze myself. I was sad to see it go but elated to see the delight o the recipient’s face on Christmas morning. The christening cup of tea ended with a sickening crack. An unseen bubble couldn’t handle the temperature difference and broke the mug before it ever me their lips. I had to make it up to them so I painted the starry mug to make it up."
