"This mug was a staple during my first pregnancy. I was terribly sick and my husband brought me ginger tea in this mug every night. Such a sweet gesture, I wish I remembered how this mug broke. But I was well settled into my painting series when it did. I recall the conflicting mix of sorrow and excitement at the new subject and inspiration for my next painting. I realized my entire outlook had changed. I was less precious about the things in my life. I was excited at the memory I knew it would become and the meditation on what the mug actually meant to me."
