Poem and illustrations by Bailey Crabtree exploring postpartum anxiety and the fear of how your children perceive you. Each illustration is hand carved and stamped by the author, giving it a gritty, dark tone. The ending is ambiguous leaving it up to the reader whether the mother and her child, who’s point of view narrates the poem, make it out of this dark time together.

Inspired by the baby blues and beyond that nearly every mother experiences whether new or seasoned. Included in the back of the booklet are resources for postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis for those suffering.
